Last night I got assigned to the isolation unit of the hospital. There is a patient there with Pulmonary Tuberculosis that needs a one-on-one nursing care. I had lots of problem during my shift. First and foremost, it was very hot in there. It’s as if I’m training to be in hell. I was sweating like a pig the whole time. Second, there was no one there to help me. No one to help me pull up or turn the patient to sides. Third, I was wearing an N95 mask the whole time and let me tell you that it’s very difficult to breath when you’re wearing this personal protective equipment. And lastly it was creepy because I was all alone with no one to talk to. The good thing about being there? I got a chance to watch TV all night long. Hehe. I had an American Idol marathon in Starworld. I got the chance to listen to Jessica Sanchez’s version of Stuttering which I thought was pretty good. She deserved the save. After 8 hours, I went home severely dehydrated. Haha.
